Online Job Searching Problems

Normal Job Searching vs Autosearching

auotosearching-1

Normal web searching has you do all the work, autosearching is like having a personal assistant helping you out.

Keeping up with online job research simply takes much more time and effort than it should. The process can be made far more efficient.

Several of the Issues are:

  1. Revisiting the same sites frequently
  2. Having too many sites to go to
  3. The inability to replicate searches reliably each time you visit different sites
  4. Too many unsuitable search results (i.e. poor filtering)

All of these issues-limitations severely decrease the quality of job searches, combined with taking more resources from the job searcher or recruiter than are actually necessary.

Common Unrealistic Expectations of Online Searching

The problem with the current online job searching concept is that it is based upon unrealistic expectations and takes excessive amounts of time from the job seeker. Here is the general sequence of required actions.

From Multiple Sites to One Place, All Simple to View

Centralization of the search, that is going to one place to review jobs, is difficult for online job seekers because:

  • There are so many different online database and sources to keep up with
  • All of the various search engines and job sites are not personalized for one particular user
  • RSS feeds (from sites) are often not customizable
